Broadway Jazz

Inspired by the great musicals such as West Side Story, Sweet Charity, Chicago and many more, students will learn basic jazz techniques and a musical inspired routines. Many great choreographers like Bob Fosse have immortalized their unique styles through these musicals, which influences can be seen in the latest music videos of artists such as Beyonce and Ciara. This class aims to develop appreciation of those unique styles and to maintain the spirit of the musicals.


Burlesque focuses on sexy and feminine style of jazz. In this class, participants will learn various body isolations like hips, shoulders and ribs isolations and a short choreography.

Hip Hop

Hip Hop dance is a combination of many dance styles that reflects freedom of expression whether you’re dancing to upbeat music or smooth cool R&B. Popularized through music videos hip hop is now one of the most popular dance styles around the world. Students will learn basic grooves and movements to the music of Black Eyed Peas, Justin Timberlake, Ciara, Kanye West and many others.

Latin Funk

Latin meets hip-hop. A unique fusion of popular Latin street dances and Hip Hop: , danced to a wide spectrum of Latin R&B, reggaeton, salsa music. It incorporates a wide variety of latin footwork, body isolation and hip hop grooves. The class focuses more on shines (non-partnerwork moves). No Salsa experience is required.

Latin Jazz

Think a dynamic complimentary mix of the Latin styles of dancing (salsa, rhumba, meringue; etc.).  A non-partnering class that improves body isolation’s, footwork, strength, flexibility, and confidence.  Although this is not a social dance it’s great technique building for thee social dancer who wants to take their dancing to the next level.  We start with a proper warm up, progression, and then dance combo.

Lyrical Jazz

Lyrical Jazz focuses on controlled movements with graceful lines, similar to jazz ballet or contemporary jazz. Inspired by the song lyrics, it often tells a story through the choreography. This class focuses on simple warm up and stretching exercises, jazz techniques in progression (across the floor) exercises, followed by short choreography.

Parents-Child Hip Hop

This class focuses on creating fun & uninhibited learning experience for both parents and kids. It is a great opportunity for parents to bond with their kids and even learn a thing or two from them. It is also a great way for kids to develop their sense of rhythm, musicality and movements as well as self confidence. Dancing to kids-friendly music from Disney’s High School Musical, Jump In and others, both parents and kids will experience hip hop in a fun & positive way.


Salsa is one of the most popular partner dance forms (social dance) in the world today. Danced to latin music, salsa has gained popularity in Singapore the past 15 years. LADC Artistic Director, Lionel Araya (Los Angeles) was one of the salsa pioneers in Singapore. Classes are taught in a structured syllabus developed by Lionel himself, and it caters to students according to the level of the class. Learn basic lead and follow techniques and simple variations in our 6-week beginner course.

Salsa Casino (Rueda De Casino)

Upping the fun in salsa pairs of dancers form a circle, with dance moves called out by one person, a caller. Many moves have hand signs to complement the calls. Most moves involve the swapping of partners.  The names of the moves are mostly in Spanish ‘mata la cuccaracha’ (kill the cockroach!), some in English (or Spanglish; e.g., “un fly”). More…

Street Jazz

Street Jazz is a more dynamic form of Jazz that focuses on strong lines and fast paced movements. It is danced to a variety of music ranging from pop, R&B or rock music. The class is divided into warm up exercises that help improve strength and flexibility, followed by across the floor progression and a short routine.

Turns Technique

Turns Technique is specifically designed to break down various turns such as chaine, pique, pirouette. Etc… Students will learn to master spotting techniques to avoid giddiness and improve their balance.  Each term focuses on a minimum 2 different turning exercises. Open to all levels.

Tricks And Dips

For the more skilled social dancer.  Lionel and Yenny will teach how to SAFELY execute simple dips and flashy tricks that will take your Salsa to the next level.  By the way did we mention SAFELY!
